Melatonin levels in some gummies don't match label, study finds (The Hill) -- A new study has revealed that melatonin gummies advertised to help with sleep may have potentially harmful levels of the hormone, as well as cannabidiol (CBD) that was not labeled on the packaging. A study published Wednesday in the medical journal JAMA investigated 25 different gummy brands that were labeled with "melatonin" and were also listed in the National Institutes of Health’s Dietary Supplement Label Database. The study found that 88 percent of the gummies investigated were inaccurately labeled, with only 12 percent containing within 10 percent of the quantity that was labeled.One of the products that was labeled as including melatonin was actually found to have no traces of the hormone but contained 31.3 milligrams of CBD. The amount of CBD found across all the products ranged from 10.6 to 31.3 milligrams, but only five products included CBD in the label. Actor Glen Powell to return to Austin to speak at UT commencement AUSTIN (KXAN) — A former UT longhorn and Austin actor will be back on the 40 acres to deliver the 2023 commencement speech at University of Texas at Austin.UT says Glen Powell will return to campus to deliver the keynote address at the commencement ceremony on May 5 at the Moody Center. Powell studied radio, television and film at UT and is an alumnus of the UTLA program, where he spent a semester in Los Angeles. At 19 he headed to Hollywood to pursue acting.He's best known for his roles in “Devotion,” “Hidden Figures,” and most recently in the blockbuster hit along Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick.” Austin actor soars alongside Tom Cruise in ‘Top Gun: Maverick Before landing big roles, Powell went to Westwood High School and took acting classes at Austin Musical Theatre. When a tagged animal dies, its body is extracted so that Department of Environmental Conservation officials can understand what happened to it - for the better protection of the moose population at large. On April 6, a collar placed on a moose in 2022 gave off a signal indicating that the animal had died. Coachella road rage incident caught on video A road rage confrontation during a traffic jam in Coachella was caught on camera Sunday afternoon on the final day of the four-day music festival.  An aggressive driver in a white Honda CRV was captured on video attempting to cut off several cars when the clash occurred and then escalated.  “I saw everything happen for what it is only because he was harassing me at first and merging into my lane,” one of the victims, a man identified only as Shawn, told KTLA.  He had been in one vehicle when a backseat passenger in the white Honda started hurling insults. Shawn said that it was surprising to see that kind of behavior outside the popular music event, which is spread over two weekends. “Nobody really expects to go to a festival and get assaulted and harassed.
