Twins star Byron Buxton was removed early from a rehab game with the Triple-A Saints on Friday after experiencing soreness in the patella tendon, per reports.Buxton played the outfield for the first time in more than a year on Wednesday, spending seven innings in center field. Thursday was a scheduled day off and Friday he got two at-bats before exiting the game.Though he is on the injured list for a hamstring strain suffered at the beginning of last month, Buxton has been kept out of the outfield because of the right knee that flared up.Prior to Wednesday, he had spent the whole season serving as the Twins’ designated hitter as a result of the issue, which impacted him last season to the point where he had a season-ending surgery. The Twins had hoped to bring him back from the injured list as an occasional center fielder, getting him into the outfield a couple times a week. But that plan is dependent on his response to how he felt after playing it while rehabbing with the Sain...Troy Police investigating River Street homicide

(NEXSTAR) — National Hispanic Heritage Month officially kicks off Sept. 15, marking the 35th year of the celebration of Hispanic cultures and their contributions to the U.S. As Hispanic people continue being one of the U.S.' most visible communities, many questions about terminology arise. The current most common ways Hispanic populations refer to themselves are “Hispanic,” “Latino/Latina” and “Chicano,” but the newer gender-neutral term “Latinx” attempts to be more inclusive to non-binary members of the population. Which states have the most confrontational drivers? “Non-binary” means those who don’t identify as male or female: These are people who have a gender that blends elements of either, or people have a gender that is neither male or female. Additionally, as the National Center for Transgender Equality says, some people don’t identify with any gender and some people’s gender identity changes over time. But although it may have good intentions, the term has yet to be int...Stanford takeaways: How Daniels, Yurosek and Bailey helped Cardinal beat Hawaii in Taylor’s debut

Let me go out there and show everyone that I can throw the ball.”Daniels did that Friday night, completing 25 of 36 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns as Stanford beat Hawaii 37-24 in its season opener. Despite making his first start on the road, Daniels didn’t commit a turnover or take a sack, while also rushing a team-high 11 times for 42 yards.“His demeanor was great throughout the entire game,” Stanford coach Troy Taylor said. “It’s a pretty big deal on the road.
