ST. LOUIS -- Police are investigating a murder-suicide in the Boulevard Heights neighborhood. Anwara Begum, 68, and Mohammad Islam, 68, have been identified as the people who died in this incident.Officers were called to a home in the 4800 block of Germania at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. A person had not heard from the man or woman for some time. GRANITE CITY, Ill. -- An Illinois State Trooper's vehicle was hit on I-270 near the Missouri state line Saturday evening. The trooper was inside his vehicle with the emergency lights activated during the crash. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The driver, Dwayne Samuel, 62, was not injured in the collision. The new zero-bail policy takes effect in L.A. County on Sunday, despite the objections of many law enforcement and civic leaders who say the policy will undermine efforts to fight crime. (KRON) -- A mountain lion was spotted in Mill Valley Sunday morning, the Mill Valley Police Department said on X. The animal was spotted in the area of Camino Alto and Overhill Road around 6 a.m. Officer injured after suspected DUI driver crashes into San Rafael police vehicle Police searched the area but were not able to locate the mountain lion. Camino Alto and Overhill is near the Camino Alto Open Space Preserve and the Mill Valley Golf Course.
