Authorities are searching for a man wanted for attempted murder after, they said, he beat and stabbed a woman in broad daylight in Pompano Beach.Speaking with 7News on Friday, Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Miranda Grossman said the subject remains on the run in Broward County.“This person is very dangerous,” she said.Investigators said the incident happened on Tuesday at around 1:15 p.m., near the 300 hundred block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.“He gets out of the vehicle, he runs up to the victim, approaches her from behind and brutally attacks her,” Grossman said. “He beats her and stabs her.”Surveillance video captured the moments that the led up to the brutal attack and its aftermath.“[The subject] flees westbound on Northwest Fourth Avenue in his vehicle,” Grossman said.The woman who was attacked was rushed to the hospital and is expected to be OK. “The attacker is seen wearing black shorts, a white T...Florida woman arrested for poisoning after allegedly spiking man’s drinks with ‘Raid’ roach spray

DELEON SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) – A Central Florida woman has been arrested and charged with poisoning a man by allegedly lacing his drinks with Raid roach spray.Deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Wheeler Street in DeLeon Springs around 4:30 a.m., Friday, following reports of a poisoning incident. The victim was found at the scene and later transported to a hospital for medical attention.The victim told law enforcement officials that Veronica Cline, 29, of DeLeon Springs, had returned home after a night of drinking at a local bar and urged him to continue drinking with her. The victim consumed two drinks, after which he began to feel unwell. There was a break in the case for a South Florida man who was drugged and robbed last year.City of Miami Police on Friday confirmed they tracked down and arrested 34-year old Danyelle Eans.Investigators said the suspect went home with a man she met at a bar in Coconut Grove, slipped something into his drink and stole $40,000 in watches and jewelry. The incident happened last May with officers using a still shot of the suspect in an elevator as their only clue. They were able to track her down, arrest her and trace her DNA to some glasses that were on the victim’s countertop.Police said this man wasn’t her only victim.“Fast forward to just a month ago, local bar, she’s there, meets a man, he says, ‘Let’s go to my apartment,’ takes her to his apartment, and the same MO,” Miami Police Officer Michael Vega said. DELTONA, Fla. (WSVN) – A Central Florida man is facing multiple charges of animal cruelty after authorities discovered his dogs had not been properly fed for approximately five weeks and were exposed to severe heat. Zachary Michael Crain, 26, of Deltona, was taken into custody on Tuesday night and subsequently booked into jail Wednesday morning. He faces three felony counts of animal cruelty and three misdemeanor counts of unlawful confinement/abandonment of animals without sufficient food or water.The investigation unfolded when deputies, responding to a request from Deltona Animal Control, arrived at Crain’s residence on Abbott Avenue on Tuesday evening. Washington, DC (CNN) — US mortgage rates surged this week, rising to their highest level in 21 years.The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 7.09% in the week ending August 17, up from 6.96% the week before, according to data from Freddie Mac released Thursday. A year ago, the 30-year fixed-rate was 5.13%.Rates have been above 6.5% since the end of May and climbing higher since mid-July. The last time rates were over 7% was in November of last year when they hit 7.08%.
