APD officer faces 2nd indictment after 2020 protests; 2 more officers indicted AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin Police Department officer who was indicted last year in connection with May 2020 racial justice protests has been indicted on a second charge, according to court documents and a release from the officer's defense attorneys. In addition, KXAN has learned the names of two other officers indicted last week through court documents and sources.Jeffrey Teng was one of 19 officers indicted last year over claims of excessive force during protests in downtown Austin in 2020. He now faces a charge of deadly conduct by discharging a firearm. 19 APD officers indicted accused of harming a total of 10 during May 2020 protests Teng was originally indicted in February 2022 on a charge of aggravated assault by a public servant and placed on administrative leave.Jeffrey Teng. Saratoga County launches DWI-Ignition Interlock Enforcement BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Saratoga County has been selected as a recipient of a $35,000 state grant that will be used to enforce New York's DWI-Ignition Interlock Device Enforcement Initiative. The showcase gives state workers an opportunity to see different electric cars and how to convert an electric vehicle fleet. Man hurt in garage collapse in Jefferson County JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. - One man was hurt after a garage collapse Tuesday morning in Jefferson County. The collapse happened around 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 62000 block of Ruble Lane in Cedar Hill.The victim is being rushed to a hospital for treatment. His injuries are considered moderate, but non-life-threatening, according to Cedar Hill Fire Chief Mick Fischer. South Bay violent crime spree: Authorities identify three people killed last week SAN JOSE — Less than a week after the violent South Bay crime spree that left three dead and several others injured on Thursday, the three deceased victims have been identified.The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner identified the victims Tuesday morning. They are Nguyen Pham, 72, of San Jose; Phuc Pham, 71, of San Jose; and Jiwanjot Dhariwal, 26, of Milpitas,Authorities said a 31-year-old San Jose man committed multiple stabbings, carjackings and vehicular assaults during the rampage, which began just after 3 p.m. Friday in San Jose.
