Nostalgix gets Nasty and Declares War: Iranian-born, L.A.-based producer Nostalgix started DJing in 2015 — the fact that she’s been in there game for eight years surprises even her.“Absolutely insane,” she says. “I started DJing for fun in my dorm room in University. I had fallen in love with dance music and wanted to learn more about it. I would spend hours alone in my dorm room practicing, and making mixes. In 2017, I won a DJ competition to perform on the main stage at the Gorge Amphitheater, which was the coolest opportunity in the world for me. It was my first music festival – I was opening the stage and Tiesto was closing it. The festival wasn’t able to open doors during my set so I basically performed to the security guards.
