Two teenagers on spring break from Illinois were killed at Colorado’s Copper Mountain Ski Resort Sunday evening after sledding down a half-pipe together and launching off a snowbank into the air.The teens, aged 17 and 18, “came down hard on the hard ice” below the half-pipe, according to a Summit County Sheriff’s Department statement, which said they experienced “blunt force trauma.”They received immediate medical attention but could not be revived and were pronounced dead at the scene, the statement said.Summit County authorities on Monday weren’t able to say whether the half-pipe was closed. Sheriff’s deputies responded around 8:36 p.m., agency officials said.The two teens “were sliding on some sort of article together,” Sgt. A former Denver police sergeant won’t spend any time in jail after sexting with a person who he thought was a 14-year-old girl and trying to meet with her at a Lakewood park.First Judicial District Judge Lily Oeffler sentenced Timothy Hyatt, 45, to four years of probation for two charges he pleaded guilty to in January: attempt to commit sexual assault on a child, a felony, and attempt to commit unlawful sexual contact, a misdemeanor. Hyatt will also register as a sex offender.If Hyatt successfully completes probation, the felony conviction will not become part of his permanent criminal record.Hyatt in 2022 messaged a profile on a social media website that he initially believed belonged to a 17-year-old girl named Lynsi, according to his arrest affidavit. Colorado Rapids team captain Jack Price will miss the the remainder of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, the team announced Monday morning.After coming on as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s loss to Minnesota United in the 68th minute, Price chased after a pass played to his side of the field and went down without contact. He immediately signaled he had to be substituted and was eventually carried off by the team’s medical staff.This is horrible to see. Disneyland guests will soon be able to jump into hyperspace as the fan-favorite Star Wars-themed overlay for Space Mountain, Hyperspace Mountain, returns to the theme park on May 1.The temporary retheming of Space Mountain will last until June 5, according to the Disneyland website.Hyperspace Mountain will return to Disneyland as part of Star Wars Month. Solo-Vehicle near Crismon Road Left Three Teen Girls DeadMESA, AZ (March 20, 2023) – Wednesday night, a rollover crash on Guadalupe Road killed left three teenage girls dead, and one girl injured.The incident happened on March 15th, at around 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Guadalupe Road and Crismon Road.According to Mesa Police, a 16-year-old girl, in a blue Mustang, with three other occupants, attempted to switch lanes but lost control. The Mustang hit a curb, drove through the landscaping, hit a boulder, and then rolled over into a light pole. Two Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on Whitendale AvenueVISALIA, CA (March 20, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, two victims were killed and one was hurt in a wrong-way accident on Demaree Street.Police responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m., just south of West La Vida Avenue on March 15th.According to reports, the driver of a northbound black GMC pickup-truck veered into the southbound lanes. As a result, the pickup-truck collided with an oncoming black Cadillac sedan.Due to the impact of the collision, paramedics pronounced the driver and passenger inside the sedan dead at the scene.
