Blink and Blondie Punk Up Coachella: When the set times for Coachella were made public on Wednesday night, the big surprise was the inclusion of ’90s pop-punkers Blink 182 on the bill. There had been a few rumors during the week but still, their name on the schedule early on Friday evening offered quite the buzz.Casual observers could be forgiven for wondering if anyone would care. In no way, shape or form is Coachella 2023 a rock festival. Pop, hip-hop and electronic music of many shades, sure. But the previously announced bill — all three days — features very little in the way of hard rock and/or punk, and the crowd is a young one.But the thing with the modern Coachella crowd is that genres mean very little. Or at least, that’s what it feels like. To their immense credit, these attendees just want to have a great time and they’re not interested in “Breakfast Club-ing” themselves into a pigeon-hole.Blink performed on the Sahara stage, which...Kurtenbach: Here’s the Warriors’ path to another title — or a potential breakup

Upwards of 50 red dresses can be seen hanging along University Avenue and other areas of Queen’s University’s campus. They are part of an art installation that Queen’s has adopted for the second straight year in an effort to mark the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and gender diverse people on May 5.Last year Queen’s had red dresses hanging on campus closer to the date itself, but decided to do so earlier this year so that more students would be on campus and able to engage with and learn about the installation and the issue it represents. Kandice Baptiste, Associate Director at Queen’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives, said it was important to move the date up so students can take in the installation and its’ message, and it seems students are doing so.“We thought it was important this year to move it up into April so that students can also see the dresses,” Baptiste said.“We’ve f...Missing 3-year-old Miami boy found safe

The Massachusetts Air National guardsman arrested at his mom’s home for allegedly leaking secret military information online is from a military family. Jack Teixeira, 21, graduated Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School in 2020. He then joined the Massachusetts Air National Guard where he was a part of the 102nd Intelligence Wing with the Air National Guard on Cape Cod. Though it is not clear what security clearance or access he had, the Air Force said he worked to make sure the service’s vast, global communications network operated properly. Teixeira’s step-father served for 35 years and was based out of Otis Air National Guard Base on Cape Cod. He retired in 2019, and it is unclear if he helped recruit Teixeira in 2020. After an uneven season and rocky play-in ride, beyond debate has been that the Miami Heat have pushed through with a roster that has been lacking, needing a Friday high-wire act against the Chicago Bulls to advance. To some, that is a condemnation of Pat Riley, Andy Elisburg, Adam Simon, Nick Arison and the front office. And yet, no less than Riley, Elisburg, Simon and Arison essentially came to that conclusion well before any outsiders. So to consider the Heat’s eventual end game at the conclusion of this postseason, first go back to the start, to last July, when the Heat had pieces to put into play, alternate means to distribute their payroll, the ability to delay on what became a four-year, $130 million extension to Tyler Herro.Because as distressing as it might seem, history could well repeat itself.Yes. Whales. Harpoons. Big Fish. Dream outlooks. Nightmare possibilities, this hardly a team that plays for a No. 8 seed. The primary reason the Heat avoided becoming hard capped l...Latest news
