San Marcos settles lawsuit over law enforcement response to 2020 'Trump Train' incident SAN MARCOS, Texas (The Texas Tribune) -- San Marcos police officers and professional staff must receive training on responding to political violence and voter intimidation and ways to develop community trust as part of a legal settlement approved Tuesday over a 2020 incident in which a caravan of Trump supporters were accused of harassing a Biden campaign bus as it drove on Interstate 35.The city will also pay $175,000 to four individuals on the bus: former state Sen. Wendy Davis, who was running for Congress at the time; former Biden campaign staffer David Gins; campaign volunteer Eric Cervini; and bus driver Timothy Holloway. For women who have surgery as part of their breast cancer treatment, breast reconstruction can be used to rebuild the shape and look of their chest. There are several types of reconstructive surgery but the two main types are implant reconstruction and tissue (flap) reconstruction. According to the American Cancer Society, sometimes the procedures are used together to rebuild a breast and often times the process means more than one operation. In today's Women's Health Wednesday, Dr. Benjamin Schalet, MD, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Albany Medical Center, talks about the process women may go through and how to know if reconstruction surgery is the best course of treatment.

'Mobility impaired' woman dead, 3 hospitalized after Panorama City house fire Editor's note: This story was updated to correct the location of the fire.A woman was killed and five people were injured in a house fire in Panorama City Wednesday morning.The fire at 8766 N. Matilija Ave. was reported at 8:08 a.m., and though it was extinguished in just over 20 minutes by 34 firefighters, a woman was found dead in the 1,500-square-foot home, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in an alert. Other residents of the home said the woman, whose identity has not been released, was "mobility impaired," and she was "lifeless in a rear bedroom" and "beyond medical help" when firefighters found her, according to the alert.
