AUSTIN (KXAN) — Almost 3,000 Texas women received an abortion in Kansas last year, new data shows. At the same time, the number of abortions performed in Texas ground to a halt in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning of Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade in a 6-3 decision on June 24, 2022, eliminating the nearly 50-year-old constitutional right to abortion. The ruling gave states the authority to limit or ban the procedure. Number of abortions in Texas dropped 99.5% in the months after Roe v. Wade was overturned A trigger law in Texas went into effect in August 2022, banning most abortions in the state. Published Wed, 05 Mar 2025 01:14:36 GMT

It was that kind of day for the Twins, who were unable to manufacture much offensively in a 3-0 loss to the Braves on Wednesday afternoon at Truist Park. The loss caps a three-game sweep at the hands of the National League’s best team and concludes a grueling stretch of 16 games in as many days, which the Twins finished 7-9. It also drops the Twins (40-42) back to two games under .500 after a series in which they finished 0 for 23 with runners in scoring position. The Twins had the leadoff runner on base in three innings, ...
